This elegant French bouillotte lamp, dating to the late 19th-century during the Napoleon III period, beautifully reflects the enduring influence of the Empire style throughout the 19th-century. Originally designed for gaming tables, bouillotte lamps are distinguished by their adjustable shade, allowing precise control over light diffusionan iconic feature preserved in this piece.
The structure is crafted in finely worked gilt bronze, with a classic two-arm configuration and gracefully curved branches. It stands on a circular dished base adorned with delicate concentric detailing, all presenting a rich and authentic patina consistent with age.
