An exquisite and finely constructed Louis XV style chest of three drawers, with original pink- veined marble top and fabulous floral marquetry inlay to each drawer front and sides. Finished in luxurious Rococo style, this 19th century (Napoleon III era) commode has three spacious drawers, each with beautifully curved serpentine-shaped fronts and decorative gilt bronze pull handle and escutcheons. The chest is flanked by extravagant floral marquetry sides, while ornate gilt bronze ormolu mounts adorn the scalloped apron and graceful legs.
