This elegant French commode, crafted in the Louis XV style, dates most likely from the second half of the 19th century. It displays the graceful bombé silhouette and refined cabriole legs characteristic of the Louis XV aesthetic, enhanced by finely cast gilt bronze mounts and sabots.
The commode is beautifully veneered and decorated with delicate floral marquetry panels on the sides, framed by scrolling inlaid borders. The marquetry is composed of contrasting veneers such as walnut, fruitwood, maple, and satinwood, carefully arranged to create floral motifs and decorative cartouches.
