This stately pair of Louis XV style walnut bergère armchairs date from the 19th century, and are beautifully constructed with a shapely 'cabriolet' back for comfort.
The frame of each one is intricately carved and sculpted, with floral flourishes at the crest and at the centre of the ornately curved apron.
The armrests are generous and well padded, and feature attractive scroll designs on their corners, which echo the carvings on the cabriole legs.

The chairs are upholstered in a fabulously elegant creamy white fabric woven with classic motifs of the era and secured all round with a nailhead trim. Each chair is furnished with a very generously sized removable seat cushion.
