A beautifully crafted 19th-century walnut partner’s desk, showcasing refined craftsmanship and elegant proportions. This impressive freestanding desk is veneered in richly figured walnut and enhanced with delicate boxwood and ebony string inlays that frame each drawer and side panel, highlighting its sophisticated architectural design. Raised on slender tapered legs fitted with bronze sabots, the desk offers a timeless silhouette suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
The generous top is fitted with a warm tan leather writing surface embossed with a decorative gilt border, providing an inviting and practical workspace. A pull-out leather writing slide extends from the center, offering additional working space when required. The desk features a central drawer above four side drawers, all retaining attractive shield-shaped escutcheons and working locks with keys. The reverse is equally well finished, making it ideal for placement in the center of a room.
