Description :
French copper Kugelhopf mold dating from the 19th century, distinguished by its deeply modeled decoration and beautifully balanced ring shape. Surrounding the central chimney, pronounced fluting forms a sequence of pointed motifs resembling stylized leaves. This radiating pattern continues along the sides in overlapping rows of scalloped curves, combining softly rounded contours with sharply defined ridges.
The copper exterior displays warm pink and amber tones that catch the light and emphasize the sculptural quality of the design. The interior is tinned, while a movable hanging ring attached near the rim allows the mold to be displayed on a wall, revealing the full richness of its decoration. A small circular stamped mark is visible beneath the ring attachment.
The surface retains scratches, minor irregularities and areas of oxidation, together with visible wear to the interior tinning. These signs of age contribute to the character and appeal of this antique piece.
Whether hung in a kitchen, arranged on a dresser or displayed alongside a collection of antique copper utensils, this Kugelhopf mold brings warmth and texture to its surroundings. Its striking geometric relief also makes it an appealing decorative accent within a contemporary interior, where its traditional material and sculptural form can be fully appreciated.
