An exceptional Napoleon III Globe de Mariée, dating from the second half of the 19th century (circa 1860–1880), preserved beneath its original hand-blown glass dome. This elegant example features a richly upholstered red silk cushion adorned with beautifully crafted orange silk flowers, delicate white blossoms, finely detailed gilt metal foliage, and graceful gilt birds. Crowning the composition is a finely cast gilt dove holding a floral wreath, a traditional emblem of eternal love and marital devotion. A decorative mirror plaque suspended beneath the arrangement enhances the composition with subtle reflections and additional visual depth.
