Description :

This elegant French Art Deco ice bucket dates to circa 1930 and bears the maker or retailer’s mark “ANGELINI, 55 R. TURBIGO,” referring to 55 Rue de Turbigo in Paris. A small additional square punch is visible beneath the address.

Crafted in silver-plated metal, the bucket has a beautifully restrained cylindrical form, gently widening towards the upper rim. Its streamlined decoration consists of two bands of multiple fine horizontal grooves, a particularly characteristic detail of French Art Deco design of the late 1920s and 1930s.

The most distinctive feature is the large articulated swing handle, formed from slender metal rods and incorporating an elegant central spherical ornament. Circular mounts on either side allow the handle to pivot freely, creating an attractive sculptural silhouette when raised or lowered.

Originally intended as an ice bucket or bottle cooler, it would also make an excellent decorative barware accessory. The surface retains attractive signs of age and use, including light scratches, rubbing, oxidation and variations to the silver-plated finish, consistent with its vintage character.

A stylish example of Parisian Art Deco tableware with a particularly appealing architectural simplicity.
