A very smart set of fourteen solid and elegant dining room chairs dating from 1820' s between the Empire and the Restauration period.
Although very similar, not all are identical, with a total of 6 slightly differing variants across the set. Each of the back rests is beautifully constructed with a shaped 'cross' design, embellished at the centre with an intricately carved rose, while each seat cushion is removable, which make it extremely easy to change the upholstery and change the atmosphere of the room.
The front legs are nicely curved in a 'frog's leg' style, and the back legs are shaped in the saber style.

This rare chic set of fourteen dining room chairs is upholstered in an elegant green velvet and is in very good condition.
